The traditional minivan has been largely replaced by the SUV, and drivers have just six minivans to choose from in the latest model year. The Nissan Quest price and features may still be enough to persuade those looking for a solid family vehicle to stick with the minivan. Before you decide on your next new vehicle, you might want to take a closer look at the new Nissan Quest.

Price ranges

Nissan Quest priceFour trim levels are available for the Nissan Quest. Price comparisons show the base model starts out at a respectable $25,990. The high-end model has a starting cost of $42,640, which includes many safety and comfort features that make the Quest fun to drive and comfortable to ride in.

The two mid-level trims  are priced at $29,740 and $33,520. You can add one or more of the five options packages to any trim level. These packages range in price from $1,150 to $2,100 per package. Nissan also offers the option of building your own Quest model and price online.

Engine and performance

All four trim levels of the Nissan Quest come with a standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine capable of a maximum 260 horsepower. Given the powertrain performance, it isn't surprising the fuel economy for the Quest is lower than some of the other vehicles in its class.

You can expect to get an average of 19 miles per gallon in the city  and 24 mpg on the highway. The available speed-sensitive steering technology allows you to maximize your fuel economy by reducing the power required from the engine for acceleration.

Standard features

Minivan drivers look for lots of standard features to help make hitting the road more enjoyable for the whole family. You can enjoy heated front seats, a quiet interior and a dual-opening moon roof.  The optional DVD entertainment system and theater-style seating allows passengers in the second and third rows to stay busy while you drive. The new Nissan Quest price also includes the following standard features in the top trim level:Nissan Quest interior

  • Blind spot warning system
  • Rearview and AroundView monitors
  • Push button start
  • Touch-screen monitor with voice recognition
  • Tri-zone temperature control
  • Second and third-row reading lights
  • Bluetooth technology

Some of these interior vehicle features are available as options on the lower trim levels, which allows you to build a Quest that has all of the features you're looking for. Safety features such as airbags, traction control, child safety locks and an energy-absorbing steering column are standard across all trim levels.
