Don't start shopping for a new car until you take a look at the list of best-selling full-size cars of the year. Many of the names you'll see on this list will be familiar as there are a few manufacturers that dominate this list year after year. However, most of these full-size sedans have been recently updated and improved, making them worth another look.

As you browse the list of best-selling full-size cars, you'll notice a few common characteristics. The first is price; every sedan appearing on the list has a base MSRP of $25,000 or less. The second most common characteristic is high gas mileage.

These two traits alone ensure these top cars have a lower cost of ownership and should exceed your expectations. This also shows that the public is looking for affordable cars with superior gas mileage. Of course, the more features the better, so if a car has the latest technology, it will get brownie points.
